Alteryx Developer - 12 month FTC

The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Reporting to the COO, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams’ aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.

The Support function provides technical support for all applications. The Application Support team runs a 24/5 global front door to keep us up and running, backed up by business-aligned Support teams that specialise in maintaining their business stream’s applications. Each business-aligned Application Support team works with a corresponding Business Technology and Development team.

The role of Alteryx Developer is to take ownership of a business area’s current Alteryx UAT and Production products, develop and create new Alteryx products, assess the process and procedures around the current setup and enhance those process and procedures to ensure a stable environment is established that also allows for future growth

There will be a requirement to assist with the migration of existing Alteryx processes to other enterprise software solutions, so collaboration and requirements gathering with multiple business areas is required to enable this transition.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Technology, Finance and Operations departments, to obtain a total picture of the trade flow and associated systems to identify where data flows from and to.
• Identify where Marex has cumbersome or high-risk manual processes which could be centralized and incorporated into Alteryx
• Take ownership of existing Alteryx products as well as developing and creating new
• Monitor and asses the Alteryx environment from a resource perspective. Ensuring it can scale effectively.
• Ensure any workflows or processes migrated into Alteryx are documented with clear responsibilities defined between Technology and the business.
• Provide training for team members on Alteryx workflows and issue management
• Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA
• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
• Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
• At all times comply with the FCA’s Code of Conduct 
• To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
• To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
• To escalate risk events immediately
• To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Competencies, Skills and Experience:

Essential:
• Alteryx Core or Advanced Certifications
• Financial services experience, using Alteryx for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Excellent Excel skills, (preferably with some VBA knowledge, but not essential)
• Experience querying relation databases using SQL
• Proven experience with REST API’s
• Experience dealing with business stakeholders and migrating manual processes into Alteryx workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable:
• Scripting skills, preferably Python and dealing with data (numpy, pandas)
• Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
• Business intelligence data visualisation experience e.g. Tableau or PowerBI
