DE&I

Our dedicated DE&I (diversity, equity and inclusion) committee, led by regional teams of champions, has a mandate to improve the practices of the business to make Marex a more equitable place to work, no matter your background or characteristics. From offering training and coaching, to supporting communities within our workforce through peer-led programmes and activities, we believe that valuing our people for their differences is part of cultivating a successful business.

Charitable initiatives

Supporting communities and enabling employees to contribute to causes that are meaningful to them is important to Marex. Marex and its employees support a broad range of charities through its charity matching policy. Any activity in support of a registered charity undertaken by a member of the team is matched in value by the business, up to $4000.

In recent years, Marex has supported the Motoneuron Disease Association, American Cancer Society, Cancer Research, Save the Children, Watts of Love, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Mulliganeers, and Save the Rhino, sponsored participants in the London, New York and Sierra Leone Marathons amongst others.

Academic

Marex supports several education-focused initiatives, including working with school-aged young people, providing graduate internships and sponsoring post-doctoral research programmes.

Future Frontiers

As part of its effort to grow awareness of opportunities in our industry, Marex partners with award-winning education charity Future Frontiers.

Future Frontiers was built on the belief that all young people have dreams and aspirations – but children from low-income families are much less likely to have access to the guidance, networks and opportunities that enable them to achieve these ambitions.

Volunteers from Marex coach students to help them explore their interests, discover inspiring careers, and create plans for next steps. Pupils coached by Marex volunteers significantly increased their career readiness and increased their self-belief.
